Navigating the Online Beast (Without Letting It Take Over Your Life)
I’ve been homeschooling for many years, and I have to tell you that there has never been a year like this year! Usually I’m telling people how to attend conferences. Wear good shoes! Make a list of the vendors you want to visit. Make sure you review all your notes after the conference. Or for[Read More]

Why Young-Earth Creation Matters
I have naively believed for far too long that if a person regularly attends church, sings songs about how God created the world, mentions creation in prayers or liturgy, or homeschools her children, that she must therefore be a creationist. Those in the old-earth camp say they believe God created the world but that He[Read More]
Hear, Learn, Keep, Do
When God wants to teach mankind something, He follows a very specific method that I can copy in my homeschooling. For instance, let’s look at how God teaches all mankind about His “invisible qualities, his eternal power, and divine nature”: “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness[Read More]

Foundations of Torah
Foundations of Torah is a full-year plan to studying the Torah, including 54 weeks of traditional Torah-portion readings, as well as additional readings for the biblical feast days.
The Parent-Teacher Edition is a stand-alone curriculum designed to be used by parents with their entire family from kindergarten up. Weekly introductions to the Torah portions are written specifically to encourage parents. Daily lessons include verse-by-verse readings through the entire Torah (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy), with complete discussion questions AND answers, memory verses, and suggestions for additional activities.
The companion journals are designed to help students from K-12 retain what is learned as they read along with the entire family each day.
A variety of activities for multiple ages means that families will read together, study together, and grow together… making life easier for parents and simplifying your homeschooling day.
The Foundations of Torah
“Finally, a week-by-week study of the Torah that our whole family can do together!” We believe that knowledge of the entire Bible, God’s Word, is essential for our children (in fact, for all people). But we’ve been getting requests from homeschooling moms who want to study the first five books of the Bible with the[Read More]
Dyslexia
Over the past few months, I’ve been wanting to write a blog post about dyslexia. However, I never quite got around to it until tonight. Tonight, when I’m sitting in a tent, without access to my books and to studies that would lend authority to my opinions. So let me just talk to you as[Read More]
Common Core State Standards
We are often contacted about our stance on the Common Core State Standards (or CCS). The following is our official statement: We believe that God’s Word, the Scriptures (all 66 books), are the only “Common Core” that matters. If the states pass a standard that happens to match up with Scripture, we’re in agreement with[Read More]
Should We Teach Mythology?
As we’re preparing to launch our new world history curriculum (Daniel’s Statue: Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Rome), I’ve been really pondering what we homeschoolers should do about teaching pagan mythology to our children. Should we teach about Greek gods and goddesses? Should we include myths and stories of giants, fairies, ogres, and more? The homeschooling[Read More]
